Hi, my name is Kayla and I have a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from Australian Catholic University.
I am passionate about supporting children and young adults to achieve their goals, while engaging in activities that are meaningful to them. I have extensive experience as a disability support worker and swimming teacher, which sparked my interest in OT. These experiences have shaped my approach to OT, where I focus on creating a supportive and family-centred environment, which is tailored to each child’s strengths and interests. Furthermore, I believe in adopting a neuroaffirming approach, which facilitates building strong and trusting relationships.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new places and cultures by way of travelling, spending time with my family and friends, and relaxing by the beach. I also enjoy staying active through swimming and pilates.
I am dedicated to furthering my professional development, to ensure that children and their families can receive the care they require, in order to feel supported and empowered.
